SixAxis of Power Simplifies PS3 Controller Mapping for Android Games

SixAxis of Power

Hardcore gamers are probably already familiar with the way that PlayStation 3 Sixaxis controllers can be used in tandem with their Android devices for gameplay. What they may not know is that a new website is ready to simplify the process – at least for some games and devices.

The new site Sixaxis of Power offers button maps for a selection of some of the most popular games on the Android market. The process is currently a little convoluted since users have to access the website, select their device, select the game, and then download the button map. But, the process is still quicker than figuring out the button map yourself for games that may not be compatible with the controllers.

As of this writing, Sixaxis of Power offers button maps for the following devices.

Tablets

§ Acer A500

§ Asus Infinity TF700T

§ Asus Transformer TF101

§ Galaxy Note

§ Galaxy Tab

§ Matsunichi LePanII

§ Nexus 7

§ Nook Color

Phones

§ Droid Incredible 2

§ Galaxy Nexus

§ Galaxy Note

§ Galaxy S III I9300

§ Motorola Photon

§ Samsung Galaxy S

§ ZTE Blade

Users of the site can not only download button maps, but they can also join the site and upload their own maps to help the community out further. Sixaxis of Power also seems to be looking for ways that they can give back to their contributors by making extra features and functionality available on an exclusive basis.

In any case, the site seems like a great idea and should be of benefit to the Android gaming community provided that they can rally the troops enough to submit more content. If you've figured out some button maps for popular games or devices, then what are you waiting for? Hop over to Sixaxis of Power and lend a helping hand!
