Samsung has started pre-booking for the Galaxy Tab 2 311 (GT-P3110), Wi-Fi variant of the Galaxy Tab 2 310 on their eStore. The Galaxy Tab 2 310 was announced back in February 2012, and launched in India in May. It got the Android 4.1.1 update last month, but the Tab 311 would come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) out of the box. Other than the lack of 3G and the earpiece for voice calling, rest of the features are similar to the 3G variant including a 7-inch (1024×600) PLS TFT LCD display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 3MP fixed focus rear-facing camera and VGA front-facing camera. Other features include, 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot. The connectivity features include, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 3.0 and A-GPS. It has a 4,000 mAh battery. You can pre-book your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 311 from the official Samsung eStore for Rs. 13,900. It comes in White and Silver colors, and is expected to ship in the first week of February. Samsung promises a surprise gift with the tablet to those who pre-book one online.
